The Nikon 5omm f/1.2 AI-s is the fastest lens in Nikon’s lens lineup currently. This is one of three commercially made normal lenses that Nikon has made for the F mount, that has a max aperture of f/1.2.
The speed is excellent for low light shooting and produce good contrast & sharpness, make the lens capable of stunning results when used properly.
Like all manual focus AI-s lenses, the Nikon 50mm f/1.2 AI-s works on all Nikon DX and FX digital SLRs, also works with varying degrees of convenience, on all Nikon digital/AF SLRs. It works flawlessly on the D3.
