James started his career as Production Team in Graphic House on 1998. In 1999 he worked with Trolley Magazine, a magazine that covers Bandung trends, subculture, and lifestyle.
His experience in publishing earned him his network in writers’ and publishers’ circles. In 2001 he was part of the Truedee Publishing team, working together with Dewi Lestari to publish the famous Novel of Supernova: Ksatria, Putri, dan Bintang Jatuh (Supernova: The knight, The Princess, and The Shooting Star). He was also in charge in planning and managing the book road show promotion to several cities in Java.
In 2003-2004 he worked with SoundBuzz, a producer for music TV shows as Producer where he was in charged for scriptwriting, producing shows on artist/band’s music history. His job there took him to meet and connect with the music companies in Indonesia.
In 2004 to 2006 he started freelancing as Production Assistant, and produced various music videos.
2006-2008 he established his own company called Speed of Film before finally joining Cerahati in 2008.
In Cerahati, James is in charge as Executive Producer where he parts of his responsibility is maintaining relationship with clients. He is also in charge in dealing projects and job with client, and keeps his eyes on available projects to make sure they are running well.
