His 14 years experience in music industry, 7 years in surf/skate retailing and 6 years in digital content management makes him the man to beat in operation front.
Hold a graduate degree in Entrepreneuship Management, Robin started his creative entrepreneurial journey through music. He and his friends released their band’s first self-financed album when he was just 21 years old. His band disbanded in 2002, but later, their single hit “Atur Aku” got into the list of Rolling Stone Indonesia’s Best Song Ever in 2009.
His post musical career was spent in corporate management. The first tenure was at PT. Volcom Indonesia, where he head the Marketing Dept. and helped the company to receive License of The Year, from company’s principal Volcom Inc in 2003.
His journey continues back to music, and he founded an artist management company where he and his boys lead Burgerkill band to get an award in Indonesia Music Academy as Best Metal Production in 2004. His achievements on this venture later awarded, as he was included among Top 10 International Young Music Entrepreneur of the Year, held by British Council.
He went back to corporate management in 2006 by leading day to day operation of PT. Selancar Cipta Abadi. The company own City Surf, which was the 3rd largest retail chain in surf/skate industry in Indonesia. The mission was to turnaround the company by leading 200 employees, including 2 Sales & Operations Dept. Managers, 3 Regional Sales Managers, and 14 Store Managers, across the nation. The company manages average 200k SKUs across 14 stores. On a turnaround journey, he successfully re-define its vision, re-organize the whole company, re-shape the operation and later initiated various operational deals with skate/surf industry leaders, and joint operations with Rip Curl International Ltd. and PT. Volcom Indonesia.
At early 2008, he felt to back to work for his own venture. This time he started a one-man company Distorsia, which he single-handedly design and manage 48 websites in various sizes between 2008 – 2011. These websites generates more than 3.000.000 pageviews. Through this venture too, he landed a job in PT. Gerbang Semesta (owner of Surfer Girl brand) as Internet Consultant in 2009 (which he later joined part-time as Multimedia Manager). The result of this tenure, was a grand strategy for Surfer Girl’s Facebook campaign. The page become the largest fanpage (in brand category) in Indonesia with more than 2 million fans.
In mid 2011, he joined Cerahati New Media Works team.
