He started his career in art early since he was still in high school. He worked with DKSB (Depot Kreasi Seni Bandung – Bandung Art Creation Depot) led by late Harry Roesli since 1987 up to 2005 as Creative and Music Director. He was in charged for art and entertainment projects like musical and theater show, TV show, music for movie illustration, commercial jingle, commercial event, and music school (Rumah Musik Harry Roesli).
In 2000 he met Munadi, Pumpung, and Punjung, the three men behind Cerahati and develop their concept of digital technology literally from scratch. After awhile, Pumpung and Punjung decided to take separate ways, and Sulasmoro became Managing Director for Cerahati.
He’d been working as freelancer in several different projects and developed his own projects. Sulasmoro have had several different exhibitions on new media art in Finland, England, Germany, New Zealand and Singapore in 2003 – 2006.
In 2004-2008 he was working with CommonRoom Foundation as Program Development. CommonRoom Foundation is a nonprofit organization in creative activities and city culture development in Bandung.
Starting 2002 up to now Sulasmoro works with Biosampler, as Visual Artist. Biosampler is a multimedia performance group that manages aesthetic appearance in multimedia technology.
When he isn’t working, Sulasmoro pursues his passion in VDSLR technology. He tries every camera using VDSLR technology, exploring creative opportunities available using the technology.
He is currently still involves in Putu Wijaya and Teater Mandiri performances. In 2009 he managed their art road show called Burung Merak – in remembrance of WS Rendra all around Java.
